It was all about the ladies on the red carpet at last night's
People's Choice Awards in LA. Queen Latifah sparkled in purple as the host of the show, yet again, while Debra Messing kept it a little more geometric. Paris Hilton was a nominee this time around for
her first presidential video, though she lost in the online sensation category to
Dr.

Stars of the big and small screen got glam for the
People's Choice Awards in LA last night. Carrie Underwood won three awards, and Paris Hilton and Jewel won me over with their pretty dresses.
Nominees announcer Joshua Jackson wasn't in attendance unfortunately, but there were lots of other gorgeous guys to feast our eyes on.

How fitting for the host of the evening, Queen Latifah, to wear this purple silk chiffon gown. The regal color and jeweled neckline highlight her color tone beautifully. The flowy cut is ethereal and her dainty silver sandals are dainty.

The evening's hostess with the mostess, Queen Latifah, looked elegant walking the red carpet at the People's Choice Awards. Her hair hue is lighter than
we saw at the AMAs, but it warms up her complexion with her perfectly groomed brows colored to match.
With blush properly applied on the apples of her cheeks, pink lips, and even shadow that brings out the purple in her dress, her beauty's strictly by the book.

George and Laura Bush were gracious hosts one more time in their home stretch at the White House last night for the annual Kennedy Center Honors gala. Barbra Streisand, who played nice and even
hugged G. W.

Set in South Caroline in 1964, The Secret Life of Bees is a moving tale about female solidarity in the face of discrimination, based on
Sue Monk Kidd's novel. 14-year-old Lily (Dakota Fanning) is trying to deal with her guilt over her role in her mother's death. When Rosaleen (Jennifer Hudson), Lily's housekeeper, is physically beaten when she tries to vote, the pair run away from Lily's abusive father (Paul Bettany) in search of a safe haven and answers to Lily's questions about her mother.

You probably already know that Queen Latifah is music industry royalty. But did you know that she's a bronze goddess, too? By featuring this shimmery tan shade on her lips, cheeks, and eyes, the look is cohesive and natural, with a chic twist.

Queen Latifah went the trendy route, sporting metallic and a one-shouldered draped dress. I'm a fan of both, but the tailoring on this dress seems a little off — what do you think? P.S.

Justin Timberlake took the stage with Alicia Keys last night at the
Keep a Child Alive party in NYC. JT revealed he's
"not sure" if he wants children of his own but did talk about moving to Manhattan soon. He said, "It's the greatest city in the world!

Stars came out in NYC last night for a great cause at Keep A Child Alive's annual Black Ball. Alicia Keys, co-founder and global ambassador for the organization, posed with Jessica Alba who was sporting the
on trend bowl bangs. Alicia was able to wrangle up some great celebrity faces to round out the red carpet like suave guys Justin Timberlake and John Mayer both of whom dressed down their ties with leather jackets.
