Paris, the universal capital of love and romance, created a manual on forced marriages this week to help officials spot and prevent cases of young women being forced into matrimony.
An estimated 70,000 young women in France are victims (or potential victims) of forced marriages, according to a government study. City officials who conduct weddings often don't know how to deal with their suspicion — clearly they haven't spent time in Vegas!

This sumptuous hotel in the heart of Paris has recently revamped it's luxurious spa. Needless to say the results are very impressive and well worth a quick trip across the channel. 
Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen has landed another modeling contract which begins the ball rolling for the Spring 2009 campaigns. Gisele will be the face of Dior for next season which was confirmed on her own blog earlier this week.
Gisele appeared in the Dior ads for Spring and Autumn in 2004 (pictured here) which was shot by Nick Knight. 
You know I can't resist Paris — I'm thoroughly jealous that Gildalolly is standing in front of the Eiffel Tower. This tourista already visited London and now she's looking stylish in France. I dig the old-school Mickey Mouse tee and white messenger bag.

Last year Chanel presented the “métiers d’art” collection in London with the likes of Agyness Deyn taking to the catwalk. This year Chanel had planned to take the line of luxury fashion items to Moscow but today it announced that due to problems securing a venue in the Russian capital it would now take place in Paris.
Chanel have disputed that the change is related to recent political events in Georgia claiming that the decision had been made previous to that.
Hitler may have died 63 years ago, but his anti-Semitic propaganda did not go with him to the grave. Last week police in northern Germany raided a neo-Nazi camp attended by children. At the camp, which was modeled after Hitler Youth Summer camps, 39 teenage campers wore uniforms of white T-shirts and black shorts, and studied racist Nazi materials.

It's couture season in Paris as Lanvin opens the week with a party. The first day included a John Galliano for Dior show with celebrity support from Claudia Schiffer and Eva Mendes. Galliano showed his Spring couture line for Dior presenting a typically dramatic collection.
