YouTube Baby Food Threats Get New York Man Arrested

Anton Dunn, a 42-year-old New Yorker who also goes by the name "Trashman," has ended up in jail after he posted numerous videos claiming that he helped poison millions of Gerber baby food containers. Wearing a black mask, Dunn said that upon his request Gerber employees contaminated the baby food with cyanide, getting him closer to his goal of killing infants.

When authorities apprehended Dunn they found no evidence that he actually did anything to baby food. Now he faces charges of sending threats and falsely claiming to have tampered with a consumer product. He also faces a maximum sentence of five years for each count.

This story reminds me of the possibly-illegal strip joint calling itself a performing arts center as a legal defense — should the law treat a threatening YouTube video as art? Free speech? Terrorism? While it's responsible for law enforcement officials to address disruptive threats, they would have their hands full if they tried to go after all the crazy stuff on the Internet.

Many new moms fancy themselves the younger and hipper version of Martha Stewart. Wanting every morsel their tot eats to be fresh and nutrient filled, more moms are opting to churn out their own baby food. I tried my hand at it a few times and found that the grocer's supply of sweet potatoes was tastier than my own. With practice and the right utensils, I am confident I could have mastered making baby food. Next time around, maybe I'll give it a shot. Did you make your tot's food from scratch? Source

Delilicious: Tasty Baby Baby food sometimes gives me the heebie jeebies. Not one to venture out and test the foods myself, I was convinced by Tastybaby's packaging and website that the infant food would be desirable for adults, too. The company prides itself on blast–freezing their organic recipes at peak flavor — giving the fare farm freshness and nutritional value.

Baby food sometimes gives me the heebie jeebies. Not one to venture out and test the foods myself, I was convinced by Tastybaby's packaging and website that the infant food would be desirable for adults, too. The company prides itself on blast–freezing their organic recipes at peak flavor — giving the fare farm freshness and nutritional value.

Giving it my best shot, I did a lil taste test of Life's a Peach (peach purée). After a quick zap in the microwave, I was shocked by the delicious flavors inside my mouth. Convinced I must have tried the cream of the crop, I also gave Sweetie Pie (organic sweet potato and apple purée with cinnamon) and Bangos (organic banana and mango purée with vanilla) a go.

Annabel Karmel Interview: Dealing With a Fussy Eater

Kids go through phases where they won't eat what is put in front of them. They may even turn their noses up at things they used to like opting for a slice of cheese or a handful of pretzels. This can be frustrating for parents who want to make sure their lil ones are getting the nutrients they need.

Food guru Annabel Karmel discusses picky eaters in her upcoming cookbook The Fussy Eaters' Recipe Book, 135 Quick, Tasty and Healthy Recipes that Your Kids Will Actually Eat which hits bookstores in August.

In the meantime, Karmel says she has always found children to be more interested in the food on their parents’ plates than on their own, so when possible eat as a family so your kids can see you noshing on different foods.

If you've ever been stuck in an airport for an extended period of time with a babe, then you know that diapers, baby food, formula and whole milk are near impossible to find. Since all the kiosks sell phone chargers, scarves, and vacation mementos, it's hard to believe there's not one selling baby goods.
