Shrek: The Musical opened on Broadway last night, and there were plenty of celebs on hand to help welcome the famous green ogre to the stage. Cameron Diaz looked festive in her sparkly white dress while America Ferrera, Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor also checked out the performance. Cameron was the first actress to make Princess Fiona come to life, but she's happy to leave the singing and dancing to the Broadway professionals.

This week's Ugly Betty is all about Betty learning to mix in a little "play hard" with all that "work hard" she's always doing — and who better to help her than her pain-in-the-butt roomie, Amanda (aka the "juice mooch")? While Amanda may not be the most responsible flat-mate in the world, she does balance out Betty's uptight attitude toward life in the city, and the effect is a nice (and very funny) yin and yang relationship.
While the young up-and-comers at Mode are out drumming up fodder for their articles, the grown-ups (aka Daniel and Wilhelmina) are still pining away for Molly and Connor.

There were so many great and touching moments on this week's Ugly Betty, I can't wait to talk about them all. But there are also some good laughs. I mean, I know that Hilda isn't a huge part of the episode, but her anecdote about using every advantage — which includes her referring to her boobs as "the Pointer Sisters" — may have endeared me to this woman forever more.

On this week's Ugly Betty, the senior management at Mode is whisked away into the country for a team-building retreat led by Daniel and Connor. This is a brilliant move, as it makes possible all kinds of good stuff, including a plethora of hunting and forest jokes and some amazing costumes that are supposed to denote a casual time in the woods (see Claire's get-up below).
And while the adults are away, the young assistants at Mode do play.

Glamour Magazine celebrated their 2008 Women of the Year in NYC last night bringing out the stars in black and white. The honorees included Tyra Banks, Nicole Kidman, Hillary Clinton and more. Nicole looked gorgeous in white with Keith on her arm but no little Keith-ette.

We've witnessed Betty Suarez the heartbreaker for some time now (turning down engagements, letting Gio slip away in favor of some alone time) but on this week's Ugly Betty we see Betty Suarez with a major crush on a boy. It's cute to see her swoon and make not-so subtle attempts to show the object of her affection how she feels.
Betty isn't the only one crushing.

Last week, Betty let her good and decent self help out an old enemy in need by showing her the ropes at Mode. In doing so, she made a monster out of Kimmie, who nabbed a promotion and declared ominously that she felt like her old self again.
So when Ugly Betty opens this week, Kimmie is empowered and all the rage in the office.
