Aug 17 2008 - 6:00am Over 10,000 athletes, hundreds of thousands of fans, and 30,000 journalists have traveled to Beijing for the Olympics. It is nice to see the Chinese people have something to celebrate and be proud off but it is hard to separate that from their government's crap.

i think that people forget about how hard it is to host the games and put your country/cities into the spotlight. The Chinese really made wonderful efforts and the city looks great for what we're seeing on TV. I think that it has to be hard for them to change the city - to move the homeless, to reduce the pollution and traffic. i think that they've done their country proud.
