Jeff Encouraged Gretchen to be on the Show....

Here are excerpts from a story on Gretchen.

Rossi met Beitzel, who'd been married several times before, through her work as a real estate agent. She describes him as a loving, generous man and "the first person to take the shirt off his back to help somebody else."

She says he encouraged her to join "Real Housewives" after she was approached through previous cast members Jo De La Rosa and Slade Smiley.

"I think he saw it as a great opportunity to do something different," she says. "It would be something fun and different to do, instead of just focus on the cancer."

According to Rossi, they also felt that "a lot of people across the country ... could relate to what it was Jeff was going through and how difficult it was."

What some fans may not know is that Beitzel passed away in September, after filming for the fourth season was finished.
She's blogged that she spent most of her days at the hospital with Beitzel "and what you see on the show is really about 5% of where my time was spent."

Talking about her caretaking role, Rossi says, "I think a lot of people miss that when they're seeing the show. They just see that this man is sick and I don't work."

"The Real Housewives of Orange County," which has spawned spinoffs in New York City and Atlanta, is known for giving a glimpse into lives of privilege. But there are story lines with a serious edge, such as Lauri Waring Peterson's worries over her son's battle with drug addiction.

Rossi says the first month after Beitzel passed away, "there were days that I just really didn't get out of bed."

Right now, she's back working in real estate. Eventually, she wants to meet the right person again and start a family.

What happened to the online Sephora catalog?

Does anyone know another way to get the catalog? (I live in Europe so I can't really ask them to send me one and the Sephora here doesn't have it ) I really want to go through the pages of makeup products online again

So 2008 was a little hard for me. I had to deal with his ex trying to get him back almost the whole year. Until she got married in august. I thought my boyfriend and I had heard the last of her. That she wouldn't be a part of our lives anymore. Two weeks before christmas he ended up looking at her porn site again. The worst part of it was the first time I caught him looking at it he had said it would never happen again. This time he did it while I was asleep on his lap. When we finally went to bed that night he said he was horny(you can fill in the blanks). I had no idea what he had just done. The next morning he went to school. I was checking my mails, when a little voice told me to look at the history from the night before. I was horrified by what I saw. The minute I saw her name again I freaked out. I cried almost the whole day, I felt like my heart just got broken in two, again. This man says he loves me, but something always comes up with this one girl. The crappy thing is I have moved to germany for this guy and am pretty much alone here. I love him and he apologized but I am not sure I can trust him. He keeps betraying my trust. He says he won't do something, and then turns around and does it. Is he worth staying with. He helped me get my job, and visa to stay in germany, but now I am not sure I want to. He says I never should have came if I didn't want to stick it out with him. I would stick it out, if I could trust him and felt happy, but I don't.

The Pandora lippie shows a shimmery finish, but it's not too shimmer to NOT be able to rock for the daytime. I've actually considered wearing it buy itself! Its just that wearable. I know there are some girls that thinks purple lipstick it's right for you or you think a purple lip is just too 80's? Well this Pandora lipstick is the perfect hue of my favorite color. Here's how it looks without gloss....>

Now when it comes to the brush on gloss, the brush is LOADED with the gloss.
Pretty thin too! I don't know why the creator thought it was okay to have the brush instead of the doe foot applicator. The brush is messier. However this gloss can in fact stand on its own! With a thin coat of this gloss, it gives the lipstick a different hue. More of a metallic finish.

Russian gas disruption spreads across Europe

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia sharply cut gas flows to Europe via Ukraine on Tuesday in a dramatic worsening of a pricing dispute with Kiev that threatened to disrupt supplies as far west as Italy and Germany.

The escalation in the price dispute and severe cold weather drove the British gas market, Europe's biggest and most liquid, to its highest level since October.

Officials from the Eruropean Union, which is dependent on Russia for a quarter of its gas, met both sides in the dispute on Tuesday and the bloc urges them to find a solution this week.

The Czech Republic, which holds the EU's rotating presidency, said it was considering the "extreme option" of a three-way EU-Russia-Ukraine summit.

"The only solution is to get straight to the negotiating table," Czech Industry Minister Martin Riman said after talks with Alexander Medvedev, the deputy CEO of Russian gas export monopoly Gazprom.

"The Russian side... is ready for this step. We are too and I expect the Ukranian side, after the talks in Kiev, is also ready," said Riman after meeting Medvedev in Berlin. Earlier in the day he met Ukrainian officials in Kiev.

The head of Ukraine's state energy firm said he would fly to Moscow on Thursday.

Russia and Ukraine blame each other for the crises, which has struck at the height of the European winter and spread alarm across the continent.

EU members Austria and Romania said deliveries were down 90 percent and 75 percent respectively, and German energy firms said there could be gas shortages in Europe's biggest economy if the dispute dragged on and sub-zero temperatures persisted.

"Even our possibilities will reach their limits if these drastic cuts in shipments last and if temperatures continue to stay at very low levels," E.ON Ruhrgas Chief Executive Bernhard Reutersberg said.

Hungary, Bulgaria, Turkey, Macedonia, Greece and Croatia said Russian gas flows via Ukraine had halted, creating what Bulgaria called a "crisis situation" in the middle of winter.

An Italian source close to the matter said Gazprom would only be able to guarantee less than 20 percent of the expected gas supplies to Italy on Tuesday, and the industry ministry said Rome planned to increase gas imports from alternative suppliers.

France said supplies had plunged 70 percent although its economy is less vulnerable than Germany and Italy as 80 percent of its electricity is produced by nuclear energy.

BLAME GAME

Day-ahead baseload gas touched a session high of 73 pence on the dispute and by late trade was 7.75 pence, or 12.76 percent higher, on the day at 68.50 pence per therm.

Gazprom said it supplied 65 million cubic meters (mcm) to Europe on Tuesday through ex-Soviet neighbor Ukraine, a fall of 78 percent from the 300 mcm it had been shipping since the dispute erupted on January 1.

"According to the latest information, Ukraine is stealing about 15 percent of the gas that moves to the Russian-Ukraine border," Gazprom Chief Executive Alexei Miller told Russian Prime Minister Vladmir Putin.

Gazprom had previously accused Ukraine of shutting down three Russian export pipelines early on Tuesday and said it was a hostage of Kiev's "irresponsible behavior." It said it would try to use alterntive delivery routes to avoid a crisis.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko said Moscow would continue cutting gas supplies to Europe or stop them altogether and the government ordered regional utilities to start using fuel oil instead of gas.

Neighboring Slovakia will declare a state of emergency, Czech news agency CTK reported. Poland cut gas supplies to industrial clients, while Serbia and Bosnia said Russian supplies had completely stopped.

JAN. 1 CUT

The dispute threatens to worsen Russia's ties with the West, already fraught after its war with Georgia last year.

Europe's heavy dependence on Russian energy - and vulnerability to supply disruption - was highlighted when Moscow reduced volumes to Ukraine on New Year's Day after failing to reach agreement with Kiev over gas prices.

But most bigger EU countries say they have large amounts of gas stockpiled after several mild winters and have access to supplies from sources such as Norway and Algeria.

"If there are significant drops in supplies to the European Union, the key question is whether it goes on for a very long time. But it would have to go on for weeks or months for serious problems to arise for Western European customers," said Simon Blakey, director of European research at Cambridge Energy Research Associates.

Russia and Ukraine have clashed repeatedly on a range of other issues, particularly the ambition of Ukraine's pro-Western leaders to join NATO.

The disruption comes at a bad time for Europe, which is experiencing a cold snap likely to drive up gas demand.

"We are in a crisis situation," Bulgaria's Economy Ministry said in a statement. State firm Bulgargaz told industrial users it was suspending or cutting supplies to a minimum and urged them to switch to alterntive fuels like oil. Two fertilizer companies had to halt production.

Worries about European gas supplies, coupled with Israel's military operation in Gaza, have pushed oil prices up to a three-week high close to $50 a barrel. Russia, whose main export is oil, stands to benefit from a recovery in prices.

How To Dye Your Hair Scene?

When dying your hair, you'll need protective towel (ideally an old one, that might get dirty), rubber gloves and a plastic foil / bag. First, read the instructions on the hair dye, and prepare the mixture. Always mix all ingredients completely to avoid different shades when putting the colour on your hair. Put the towel on your arms, folding it under your shirt. Wear rubber gloves to protect your hands from getting dyed. Now, comb your hair, and you're ready!

The best way is to start from the back of your head, so move your hair to the front and start putting the dye carefully, first on the roots. Move forward to the front, and when reaching the front layers, put the dye evenly around your ears, fringe and all top parts. Now, spread the dye along all hair, using the rest of the mixture if necessary. Always check twice if the color covers every part of your hair.

That's it! All you need to do now is cover your hair with plastic foil / bag to protect smearing the color around you Now, wait the recommended time - usually 20 - 40 minutes. When finished, massage the hair again to spread the dye evenly, and start rinsing. When finished, wash your hair with shampoo, and use recommended conditioner (ideally one for dyed hair).

You're done, admire your new look, and work the magic!
