Turban

n. Fabric wound around head. Of Muslim origin. Hat made in this design, fully covering head. Turbans were originally invented to keep cool in the desert heat. The long strip of cloth was soaked in water at a well, and then wrapped around the head. This technique was used long before the beginnings of Islamic religions. Contemporary turbans come in many shapes, sizes, and colors.

I've always been fascinated by turbans. They give a certain chic yet original touch to any look.

The headband version seems to be the easiest one to wear. My only problem is my thin and sleek hair that makes any headband fall off. Sad

    I don't like turbans. I won't wear them myself.
Arabic designers wear them sometimes. On them they look quite chic, yes.

I love the turban look altho i think tht this version is a bit extreme. The headbands are cute but even then i think the trend they are trying to state is scarves around the head.
