If what they're accused of doing it true (failed to report money invested to organize phone banks, send out direct mailers, provide transportation to California, mobilize a speakers bureau, send out satellite simulcasts and develop Web sites as well as numerous commercials and video broadcasts) then I hope the church loses its tax exempt status and is fined appropriately.

Palin's like a case of ringworm that just won't go away. Except with skirtsuits and glasses.

...and TS I agree with you.

Palin probably will help in Georgia and Tom DeLay's article is all about wishful thinking and denial helping him ignore what's going on in his own party.

    I agree TS.

They are so fortunate to get tax exception at all, and I think that there should be serious consequences for violating that arrangement.

I find it amazing that not a single national political figure came to Georgia during the general election, but since then, we've seen Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, John McCain and now Sarah Palin. It's nice to get the chance to hear them all speak, but I wish they were actually interested in us before they needed us.

    Liberty-

Thanks for posting the last article. I think it does a great job of explaining why most fiscally-conservative people are none too pleased with Bush right now, and why we are nervous about the new Democratic agenda.

I just don't get all of these ridiculous peripheral inquiries/investigations/allegations. The bottom line is the Prop.8 committee committed the sin of lieing in order to manipulate the general public. This is a fact and this should be the cross they have to bear. The title of hippocrates.

I don't know much about what was sent out for or against prop 8, so I don't have an informed opinion on what they are guilty of, if anything. I am curious to know if it was the national organization, or individual "churches" that should be investigated. I don't think the whole church should be penalized for the actions of a few congregations, unless, of course, it was the national leaders that did this.
