no undave, they do have regard for life, otherwise they would have killed the baby. they know life is precious, and they used that to make the baby suffer! and hence the mother suffer. this is the worse perversion of feeling that life is precious. I don't know if i explained it well enough...

But on a "lighter" note, regarding obesity. People, have you noticed, as the article points out, restaurant portions are out of control. They serve way to much, and plates are bigger too. And then everybody thinks that is how much you are supposed to eat.
And teenagers and children don't know any better.
    Just keep shoving it in.

I used to work at a italian chain restaurant during college, and the portions were just out of control. People used to look at the plate with horror when I would bring out the chicken parmasean. It was bigger than your face! I saw so many people who ate until they were in pain.

I think they try to make you feel like you are getting a good deal when they give you tons of food.

That photo breaks my heart into a million pieces. I've never been of the character to want to be rich. Money simply does not impress when expressed through material things but what I wouldn't give to have enough money to adopt all of these poor children. I would show them so much love they wouldn't know what to do with themselves.

Hypno, I have those feelings too. Unfortunatly things like that are not uncommon in Africa.

Zimbabwe is really on the brink of disaster, i feel. Mugabe really has no idea what he's doing to Zimbabwe.

Portions are ridiculous at restaurants these days! I always plan on bringing at least half of my food home. One chain restaurant has a menu of smaller portions with lower prices and the portions are still too big for me to eat in one sitting! (Although, they are much more reasonable.) I think it's important that people realize that they can eat out and still be healthy, but they have to do it the right way!

That picture (and the story) breaks my heart. Sad And now Mugabe is running "unopposed"... sigh. What a nightmare.
