I heard Rove say this last week and I think they are good picks. I mean, love him or hate him, they guy knows how to run a successful campaign.

yeah if he could make GWB win, he can do anything. i hope for mccain's sake he does not pick mitt romney. the same people who want a religious person in office don't seem to want a mormon.

I heard that they are expecting 30-40% of evangelicals to vote for Obama. They had 3 different republican sources talking about it on NPR the other day, and they grudgingly admitted that something about Obama connects with many evangelicals. In fact, the author that wrote a well selling book about Bush's faith is releasing one about Obama, and he is very enthusiastic about Obama and how his faith affects his leadership. It kind of surprised me!

I know that not all evangelicals are "far right", but I was a little surprised by this all the same. We shall see if it holds true in November!
